USA Olympian Michael Phelps won his 18th Olympic medal on Tuesday in the London Olympics to tie the world record. The American swimmer won Olympic silver in the men’s 200-meter butterfly on Tuesday. Phelps, who first competed in the Olympics when he was 15-years-old, won six gold and two bronze medals at the Athens Games in 2004, and eight gold medals in Beijing in 2008. Phelps gained his first silver with Team USA in a 400-meter relay on Sunday.

If Phelps wins one more medal, the 27-year-old will be the most decorated Olympian in history. Phelps is competing in his fourth and final Olympics before retirement. “I consider myself normal,” he told CNN’s Pier Morgan in an interview. “I’ve spent 20 years in the pool. I consider that something that’s normal.”
