After spending most of the night keeping the lead, the Miami Heat lost Game 1 of the NBA to the San Antonio Spurs. The team played well throughout the first portion of the game, but repeating their plays became more challenging as the game went on. The Spurs won the game with a score of 92-88 on Thursday.
“The fourth quarter was the difference,” said player, LeBron James. “We played some really good basketball in the closing quarter, and we had some mental mistakes. And there’s only a couple of teams that you can’t have mistakes against, especially in the fourth, and San Antonio is definitely the No. 1 team.”
