President Barack Obama will sign a measure on Monday intended to help veterans before going to Connecticut to campaign for his re-election efforts. Obama will sign legislation called the Honoring America’s Veterans and Caring for Camp Lejeune Families Act of 2012.

The Act, which is a bipartisan effort, helps provide for the needs of veterans and their families with improved health care, housing, education, and memorial services. After President Obama signs the legislation, he will travel to Stamford, Connecticut and speak at a campaign event at the Stamford Marriott hotel and later at a private residence.
