Siblings arrested after bank robbery, high speed chase and shootout

A bank robbery and high speed came to a screeching halt Wednesday after the suspects in the car crashed on a long stretch of highway in Colorado while being chased by police. The suspects, three siblings known as the “Dougherty family” from Florida, opened fire on the police who shot back.

While none of the suspects were killed, the sister, Lee, was shot in the leg. Her brothers, Ryan and Dylan, were apprehended after escaping the vehicle. There car, upon hitting a tire-deflation device after a 20-mile-chase, flipped up onto a guardrail, sending the automatic weapons in the vehicle flying. The three were treated and placed in custody. No police officers were hurt.
