Two home invasions in Bethesda

0

On Wednesday around 7:46 a.m., a housekeeper at a home off West Cedar Lane encountered a robbery at the front door after moving her car. The man exposed a hand gun and forced himself into the home. The homeowner, the homeowner’s teenage son, and the housekeeper were tied up as the suspect fumbled through the home. During the invasion, the housekeeper was sexually assaulted and later taken to a nearby hospital.

The man is believed to be the same suspect of a robbery that occurred Tuesday, where a woman was robbed of her debit card in the garage of her home in the 2900 block of McMahon Road. The suspect is described as an African-American male, late 20s to early 30s, around 5-feet-7 inches, with a slim build. During the robberies, the suspect was wearing a sweatshirt with pockets on the front, dark-colored pants, a black jacket, and brown-framed eyeglasses. He also wore gloves and a black ski mask.
