PG County considers school bus cameras

0

Officials in Prince George’s County would like to follow suit behind Frederick and Montgomery counties decision to install school bus cameras aimed at catching reckless drivers who ignore school bus safety laws. With one of the largest school districts in the regions, PG County school buses transport nearly 150,000 students each day. Major Robert V. Liberati heads the county’s speed and red light camera initiative, and says he would like to see some of the money earmarked for public safety from that program go into funding the school bus cameras.
