McDonnell presents budget plan to state lawmakers

Lawmakers in Virginia will spend the next several months working to revise the state budget, after Gov. Bob McDonnell presents his redrafted proposal on Monday morning in Richmond. His plan should include details on funding for projects he has already initiated, but is expected to be very conservative based on his political leanings and his comments regarding the fiscal cliff. He has stated that an economic downturn if congress cannot work out a budget plan would be very bad for Virginia.
