Md. Gov. invites Lady Gaga to dinner

Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley and his wife, Katie, invited pop star Lady Gaga to dinner to discuss bullying in Maryland. Lady Gaga has advocated against bullying, and was even the target of bullying in her youth. O’Malley wrote the pop star over Twitter  to extend the invite. O’Malley’s staff insists the offer is not a publicity stunt.

“The governor and first lady have been very involved in efforts to combat bullying in Maryland’s communities. Lady Gaga has a passion for talking about anti-bullying,” Tara Winfield, a spokesperson for O’Malley, said, “So the governor thought that he would reach out to her and see if there’s a way we could join together to fight this.” The governor has not yet received a response.
