Will and Kate’s baby is due in July

It’s official, the third in line for the throne of England is due in July. Prince William and Kate Middleton learned that their first child will be born in summer, just as the couple is scheduled to move into Kensington Palace. The royal palace released a statement saying that “the duchess’s condition continues to improve,” and that she and Prince William “are delighted to confirm they are expecting a baby in July.” This extinguished swirling rumors that the royal couple would be having twins. The palace office did not comment on whether the baby would be a boy or girl. That is not likely to be a significant issue though as far as the royal family is concerned. The British government is changing laws to ensure a female child will have as much claim to the throne as a male child would.
