“True Blood” creator Alan Ball has decided that next season will be his last. The 55-year-old screenwriter and self-proclaimed perfectionist is not worried about what will happen to the popular series once he’s gone. Ball told Wrap editor Sharon Waxman, “I believe I’m leaving it in very good hands. I’m OK with not being in control. I am a control freak, every show-runner is, but I’m happy to let go of this control.” Brown currently has a commercial comedy called “The F Word” in development at Paramount. While “What’s the Matter with Margie,” a movie he wrote, is being financed. The film, starring Elizabeth Banks and directed by Dan Minahan, is about a woman who has a bad day and starts fighting back. The dark comedy begins shooting in January.
