Singer Chris Brown wasn’t the only celebrity to leave W.i.P nightclub in New York City on Thursday with an injury. Professional basketball player Tony Parker suffered a scratched retina on one of his eyes during the scuffle between Brown and members of hip-hop star Drake’s entourage. The 30-year-old guard for the San Antonio Spurs described the incident Friday in Paris during a news conference posted on YouTube. Parker, who was wearing a “therapeutic” contact lens, had to go to an emergency room for treatment after arriving in Paris. He doesn’t expect to play for about a week while his team prepares for the Summer Olympics. He said “I’ll be missing the start of the French team because I can’t do anything for a week except keep the lens in and then take drops.”
Brown, his girlfriend Karrueche Tran and his bodyguard were among several people injured during the skirmish.
Police shut down the SoHo club Saturday night due to code violations. But the NYPD gave no details on the violations.
