Mark Wahlberg announced Tuesday night that he has decided to return to high school. The actor, who dropped out of school in the ninth grade, told David Letterman on the “Late Show” that he would start taking classes later this month in an effort to get his diploma. At 16, almost 25 years ago, Wahlberg was sentenced to 45 days in jail at Boston’s Deer Island House of Correction and consequently quit school. But thanks to an online program based in New Orleans, Wahlberg will be able to finish his high school education in about six to eight months. The 41-year-old actor famous for films “The Departed” and “The Italian Job,” is currently an ambassador for Taco Bell’s Graduate-To-Go program.
