Legendary Motown Records founder Berry Gordy will have his life story told in a Broadway musical. “Motown,” which will feature songs from the mega stars he discovered like Jackson 5 and the Supremes, debuts in spring 2013. The show will be directed by Charles Randolph-Wright and produced by Doug Morris. Gordy, 81, said, “Broadway is the pinnacle of live theater and provides a challenging and exciting opportunity to tell my story and share the magic of Motown.” Casting has yet to begin.
