A New York appeals court rejected former President Donald Trump’s attempt to delay his criminal hush money trial. Trump’s lawyers requested that the trial be delayed until Trump’s gag order could be lifted. Selection for the jury in the trial is scheduled to begin on April 15.

The appellate chief for the Manhattan District Attorney’s office Steven Wu said, “What we are talking about here is the defendant’s uncontested history of making inflammatory comments about people involved in the case.” He continued, “This is not political debate. These are insults.”
