Frederick County house fire kills one

One person is dead and two others severely injured after a fire broke out in a house in downtown Emmitsburg, Maryland, in northern Frederick County. Deputy Chief Chip Jewell with the Frederick County Fire Department says the department received the call of smoke showing from the two-story row house around 10 AM on Monday. The fire in the 100 block of West Main Street was just down the street from the firehouse and help arrived quickly; however, it took over 30 minutes to put out the fire.
