Authorities say a man accused of shooting at a deputy sheriff in Virginia has been found dead in the attic of a church. News media outlets report that the body of 35-year-old William Evan Hall of Abingdon was discovered Monday afternoon, ending a manhunt that began shortly after midnight Saturday. According to Virginia State Police, Hall fired at least twice at a Rockbridge deputy during a weekend traffic stop before fleeing. The deputy was not injured.
