New K-9 training complex to be built in Richmond

Preparations are well under way for the construction of a new Canine Training and Community Complex in Richmond, Virginia. An unprecedented ceremony for the $1.8 million facility is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday. According to the Richmond Police Department, the facility will have indoor and outdoor kennels, a training and community room, and a veterinary exam room. The large-scale project will be funded by a grant from the Virginia Office of the Attorney General.
