The Catholic Church has accumulated six new priests who will serve the Washington area.
Cardinal Donald Wuerl, Washington’s Archbishop, ordained six men on Saturday during a ceremony at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.
Rev. Scott Holmer, one of the new priests, will hold his first Mass on Saturday at 5 p.m. at the Church of the Little Flower in Bethesda. The remaining new priests will hold their first Masses on Sunday at churches in Silver Spring, Rockville, Hyattsville, Waldorf, and Bethesda.
