Officials of Gallaudet University are investigating an alleged sexual assault involving students enrolled in the school.
The incident allegedly involved two students from the school during a school-sponsored trip to Annapolis, Md.
The Anne Arundel County police confirmed that they are conducting a criminal investigation on the incident that took place on a bus at 10 p.m. on Saturday.
Enrollment in the program is 150 and there are 35 staff members. In a statement, Coordinator of Media and Public Relations Kaitlin Luna says when students leave campus for sponsored events, they are accompanied by at least two staff members who monitor and track the students’ whereabouts.
