Four out of the Metro’s five lines will be relieved of work over the weekend.
Red, yellow, blue and green lines are expected to run on normal service.
Between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. on Saturday every other train on the orange line will only run between Vienna and Cheverly. Passengers traveling to or from Landover or New Carrollton stations should expect an added 12 minutes of travel time.
Trains will run on schedule all other times on Saturday.
Normal service will be conducted every 15 minutes on Sunday and orange line trains will go between Vienna and New Carrollton every 16 minutes.
