In response to Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney’s comment during the first debate regarding cutting funds to PBS, supporters of the Public Broadcasting Service have organized a rally to be held on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. on November 3rd. In true Sesame Street fashion, the Million Puppet March will bring together enthusiasts of PBS and children’s educational programing with humor as well as seriousness.
Just three days before the election, this event highlights issues that many voters consider important. Organizers would like to emphasize that puppets, muppets, marionettes, sock puppets, mascots, and shadow puppets are all welcome to attend.
