A man was fatally shot on a Metro bus early Thursday morning. Police say the shooting occurred shortly after midnight at 23rd Street SE at Alabama Avenue. The man was shot several times and later died on the way to the hospital.
Authorities do not yet know why the man was shot, and at this time do not have a suspect to announce. The driver of the Metro bus was unharmed.
