On Monday, the Kennedy Center’s Theater Lab will reopen with a jazz and poetry performance featuring Gregory Porter, Holly Bass, Mahogany Browne, Vanessa Hidary and Kelly Zen-Yie Tsai. The stage was closed earlier this year for renovations. The Theater Lab is now featured the only thrust stage at the Kennedy Center, allowing for more personal and informal performances. Permanent upholstered seating was installed as well.
The Kennedy Center classic, Sheer Madness, will continue its 25 year running streak on the newly renovated Theater Lab stage this year.
