Lt. Gen. Lewis Burwell “Chesty” Puller, the most decorated Marine in U.S. history, will be honored Monday in a ceremony at the Semper Fidelis Memorial Park in Triangle. A bronze statue in his likeness was donated by the Marine Corps League and will be dedicated on Monday afternoon. Serving in World War II and the Korean War, Puller is the only Marine to receive five Navy Crosses.

Marine Lt. Gen. Richard P. Mills, deputy commandant for combat development, will speak at the dedication.
