Greg Whittington, forward for the Georgetown Bulldogs, has been dismissed from the team.
The decision to release Whittington was announced before the game against Lipscomb Saturday.
The college junior missed the final 19 games of last year’s season due to academic suspension, and he has not played at all this season because he was recovering from knee surgery.
Coach John Thompson III declined to comment on the matter.
