A national D.C. museum dedicated to crime and punishment is showcasing a new exhibition on the Boston Marathon bombings and other domestic terrorism. The Crime Museum is launching “Domestic Terrorism and Hate Crimes” on Wednesday. The new exhibit highlights the 2013 marathon bombings and other attacks committed on U.S. soil, including hate crimes. The display will include visuals and objects such as a runner’s medal and bib number. Rubble from the September 11, 2001, attacks and other items including a Ku Klux Klan robe and letters from the Unabomber will also be on display for the world to see. Crime Museum chief operating officer Janine Vaccarello stated that she hopes the exhibition will raise awareness “and change behavior for the better.”
