Voters confused by redistricting

0

New redistricting boundaries in Virginia may leave voters confused come Election Day. Some voters are unsure as to what legislative district they now live in and where they must now vote in the upcoming statewide election. Many polling place locations have changed. Election boards have sent out notifications to voters, but it is common for people to ignore them or mistakenly throw them away.

Fairfax County General Registrar Cameron Quinn advises voters to call or use the state board of elections website to clear confusion. Voters can pull up ballot information, and even use Google Maps to locate proper polling locations. Quinn advises voters not to wait until Election Day, as people showing up at the wrong location may not be able to cast a ballot.
