WTOP reports police have been investigating a puzzling pattern that has been unfolding this year in Prince William County of occupied homes being hit by gunfire. Bullets have been fired at 16 homes in the county since January. According to WTOP, most of the incidents occurred in Woodbridge, and others occurred in Manassas and Dumfries. “Needless to say it’s very concerning to us,” said acting Prince William County Police Chief Barry Barnard. “It’s very dangerous.” Investigators have not determined a motive and say there may be one ore more people involved in multiple incidents. “I don’t know that we can identify one or two singular motivations,” Barnard said. “I think a lot of it is just reckless behavior.”
