A Virginia man was lying on the ground when he was run over by a West Virginia school bus. Medical examiners have not determined if Patrick Neal, 31, of Bluefield, Va., was alive when he was hit. The Mercer County sheriff’s department claims toxicology reports are still pending. Neal’s body was found on February 20 on Stoney Ridge Road. The school bus driver, working for the Mercer County school system, told police he ran over an object in the road and believed it was trash. No children were on the bus at that time. Another bus driver saw Neal’s body on the road an hour later and called 911.
