Police in the Springfield area of Fairfax County, VA, are on the search for a man they believe may be responsible for at least 10 random gropings since September. On Monday night a woman walking to an apartment building on Commerce Street in Springfield was groped from behind. The attacker ran away when she turned around.
Police caution residents to be aware of their surroundings, especially after dark, and to travel in groups if possible. They are also asking people to keep an eye out for the man, who is usually reported wearing a red hat or bandana and a hoodie sweatshirt. He is described as Hispanic and of medium build.
