Visitors to Arlington’s Fashion Centre at Pentagon City, known affectionately as Pentagon City Mall, may have noticed a shifting trend towards higher end retailers in recent months. The changes come as the economy improves and customer spending in the area is on the rise. A long-time home of Nordstrom’s, the mall has recently added Kate Spade, Bose, and Oakley stores. Other name-brand stores are expected to open soon. These retailers mark a shift from teen-friendly staples such as Forever21 and Lids. Across the street at Pentagon Row, shoppers can find more high-end shopping and dining.
