Former Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell and his wife, Maureen will face corrupt charges in a trial set in July, when a judge denied the motion to throw out the charges on Tuesday. The McDonnells are charged in a 14-count indictment with accepting over $165,000 from Jonnie Williams, the former CEO of dietary supplements Star Scientific Inc and in exchange, they would help promote his products. They are also facing charges about lying on their bank loan documents.They have pleaded not guilty for any of the charges. A jury trial has been scheduled to begin in late July.
