MARYLAND NEWS – Maryland Board of Education selects permanent superintendent

The Maryland Board of Education unanimously voted to make Carey Wright the state’s permanent superintendent for public schools. Wright previously held the interim superintendent title after Mohammed Choudhury resigned.

Wright said, “We want all of our children to be as successful as they can possibly be and it’s our job to support them to get there.” She continued, “I am committed and determined to make Maryland the education destination.”
