Felony disclosure no longer needed for applications

The city of Richmond unanimously voted to eliminate the check box requiring convicted felons to disclose their crimes. However, on Monday, another regulation passed requiring felons applying for specific jobs to divulge their crimes. These jobs include police, firefighters, and jobs working with children.

Supporters of the new ordinance claim convicted felons have a difficult time finding work.
