The city of Norfolk’s commonwealth’s attorney was arrested on charges of drunk driving, refusing to take a breath test and possessing a weapon while intoxicated.

According to Virginia State Police, Greg Underwood was charged Tuesday night after a trooper spotted his car and two other vehicles driving through a work zone.  All three were pulled over.

State police spokeswoman Sgt. Michelle Anaya says a warrant was filed for Underwood in Virginia Beach.

Underwood is the sole candidate for next month’s election.  He has held his position since 2009.
