Former Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell has been found guilty of 11 counts of conspiracy, bribery and extortion by a federal jury Thursday. His wife, Maureen McDonnell, was convicted on nine counts of the same. The couple was indicted on 14 counts, related to large gifts of money and luxury goods from Jonnie Williams, CEO of Star Scientific Inc., in exchange for special treatment and favors from the office of the then-Governor in 2007. The corruption trial lasted six weeks and the sentencing will take place in January.
