Eric Rivera Jr. has been found guilty of the second-degree murder of former Redskin Sean Taylor, meaning that Rivera could be sentenced to life in prison. Rivera was 17 when the incident occurred, and over the years has confessed twice to the murder. However, the Associated Press reports that last week, Rivera denied that he killed Taylor, and said that he only confessed because he was under pressure from the police and his family.

Rivera and four other men were planning to rob Taylor back in 2007, thinking that he and his family were out of town, and that the house would be empty. However, prosecutors say that when Rivera found Taylor in the bedroom holding a small machete, he shot Taylor in the leg.

Three other men who were with Rivera will be going to trial soon, and the fourth has already pleaded guilty, and has started a 29-year prison sentence.
