Redskins claim fourth victory in a row

The Washington Redskins won a narrow 7-6 overtime victory against the Baltimore Ravens this week. In the process however, quarterback Robert Griffin III limped off the field with a knee injury he sustained during the game. The team is optimistic however that he will recover quickly and be able to come back and play for them next week. Coach Mike Shanahan said Griffin suffered a Grade 1 sprain of the lateral collateral ligament in his right knee when his leg was twisted awkwardly on a hit by Baltimore Ravens defensive lineman Haloti Ngata late in the fourth quarter. He will have to demonstrate his physical soundness but given that his injury is not severe, Shanahan said “He’s definitely not ruled out for the Cleveland game.”
