Packers defeat Lions 27-15, bring winning streak to 11-0

The Green Bay Packers continued their winning streak Thursday, with Aaron Rodgers throwing two touchdown passes and helping the Packers’ 27-15 victory over the Detroit Lions. Detroit on several occasions tried to take Rodgers out of the game, with players tackling him even if he no longer had the ball. Several of those attempts were flagged by referees, but were ultimately unsuccessful.

The Packers now stand at 11-0 for the first time in franchise history, and have set a team record of 17 games won in a row, including last season’s playoffs. The New England Patriots in 2007 set the record for regular season wins, at 16-0. Rodgers admitted they were a long way from there, but added “If we are undefeated after 14 or 15 games, we’ll talk about 16.”
