Giants take Super Bowl in rematch against Patriots

The New York Giants leave the New England Patriots with another upsetting lost in the Super Bowl on Sunday evening. Giants’ running back Ahmad Bradshaw scored the winning touchdown with under two minutes remaining, giving the Giants a lead of 21 to 17. The Patriots were instructed to allow Bradshaw through, believing it would buy them time to score another touchdown. The analysis didn’t turn out in their favor and they were beat for the second time in a Super Bowl by the Giants. The Giants also beat the Patriots in the 2008 Super Bowl, 17 to 14.

New York fans poured out of bars and filled the streets of Time Square to celebrate. Eliza Edwards, a 22-year-old N.Y. resident said, “I love to see this city like this, people happy and celebrating about the same thing. The G-men have that effect; their wins make us proud.”
