The Washington Capitals lost to The San Jose Sharks Tuesday night 2-1. The Capitals and Sharks haven’t played each other since February 13, 2012. After losing to Boston on Sunday, the Sharks bounced back with the opener of a three game road trip while here in Washington.
The Capitals got their only power play with 1:15 left in the match when the Sharks were called for hooking. Washington had an early 7-1 shot advantage against San Jose but several good stops, including a glove save by the Sharks, led to a disappointing loss for the Capitals.
