Jesse Jackson Jr under investigation for corrupt campaign spending


Chicago Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. has become the target of a criminal investigation in light of accusations that he used political campaign donations to redecorate his house. The investigation is reportely in is final stages and Jackson faces the very real possibility of an indictment before the November general election. It is unclear how long the investigation has been going on, but suspicion was recently stirred when the Jackson family put their Washington DC house up for sale but took it off the market just a day later. Jackson has been on medical leave from his position as Congressman, citing mental and intestinal problems, and has yet to comment on the probe into his home spending.
