Three people injured when small plane crashes in Hawaii

Three people were critically injured when their small plane crashed at Hilo airport (in Hawaii). Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Ian Gregor stated that the single-engine Cessna 172 crashed shortly after take off sometime before 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. According to the state Department of Transportation, two males and one female were on board at the time. Hilo Medical Center spokeswoman Elena Cabatu added that two of the victims are in serious condition and one is in stable condition. There was no fire after the crash. The crash did not have a major impact on other planes at the airport, and all flights are operating as per usual in Hilo. The cause of the crash is still being investigated.
