A Massachusetts man has been arrested and charged Wednesday with plotting to blow up the Pentagon and U.S. Capitol with explosive-loaded remote-control airplanes. Rezwan Ferdaus was arrested after undercover federal agents filled a request for materials he had ordered, including 24 pounds of what he believed to be C-4. Federal officials have stated there was never any danger from the explosives.

Ferdaus, 26, began plotting “jihad” against the U.S. after becoming convinced America was evil. He graduated from Northeastern University with a degree in physics. He believed blowing up the Pentagon would be a psychological blow to the “head and heart of the snake.”
