In the aftermath of Tropical Storm, aka “Superstorm” Sandy, are long days of cleaning up the wreckage and calculating the death toll. Day by day, reports of more deaths are coming in. Today’s report says that 90 people have been killed from the storm, 38 of which were from New York. That is higher even than the number of people confirmed killed by the storm in the Carribean, where the death toll reached 69. Numerous others are still missing. Some power has been restored, but 4.5 million people are still in the dark. The National Guard is in the process of delivering food and drinkable water to people in New York. Search and rescue operations are continuing so the death toll is predicted to continue rising.
