Eighteen-year-old Akshay Rajshekar is awaiting charges for setting up a sexual encounter with a 12-year-old girl. Authorities claim Rajshekar searched the Internet and found who he thought was a father seeking to share his daughter sexually. Rajshekar was unaware that he was speaking with an undercover D.C. police detective. When Rajshekar arrived at their agreed meeting place, he was arrested.
Rajshekar is also awaiting charges related to child pornography. University of Maryland spokeswoman Crystal Brown claims she has no idea why Rajshekar was permitted to finish his second semester of school while awaiting felony charges.
