The Gaylord National Hotel at Maryland’s National Harbor will once again feature their ICE! exhibit and play room this holiday season. This year’s theme is based on a Shrek franchise feature called “Shrek the Halls,” says hotel spokesperson Amie Gorrell. 40 professional ice carvers from China spend a month delicately sculpting tons of multicolored ice into characters for the event which opens Nov 16 and runs through Jan 6. There is also a room full of ice slides that adults are encouraged to try out with the kids.
ICE! will be open everyday, including Thanksgiving and Christmas, and offers fun for everyone in the family. Visitors are reminded to dress warmly.
