Marylanders vote yes

After a hotly contested election season, and an inundation of campaign ads, Marylanders decided yesterday to approve same-sex marriage, allow an extension of gambling rights, and grant illegal immigrants in-state tuition to state colleges. Maryland joined Maine and Washington state in becoming the first states to legalize same-sex marriage by voter approval in a historic victory for advocates of LGBTQ rights. Maryland voters also approved of a gambling expansion proposal that will allow a new, multi-million dollar casino to built in National Harbor and allow table games in all of Maryland’s casinos. Illegal immigrants who can prove attendance to state high schools and income tax payment will be allowed to receive in-state tuition to state universities with strict guidelines.
