Former U.S. House of Representatives member Jesse Jackson Jr. was released on Monday morning from Volunteers of America halfway house in Baltimore. Jackson had been living there since he was released from an Alabama federal prison in March, where he was serving a two and a half year sentence for misusing campaign funds on luxury personal items. The Illinois Democrat, son of Rev. Jesse Jackson, will remain on supervised release for three years and must complete 500 hours of community service. His wife, Sandra Jackson, will soon serve her one-year prison sentence for falsifying tax information.
