A Camaro heading south on U.S. 1 in Beltsville, Maryland crossed the double lines into oncoming traffic and struck a tow truck head on, killing the driver and a passenger and injuring the driver of the tow truck. The car burst into flame. U.S. 1 was closed for almost seven hours after the crash, but has now reopened. Police say that speed was a factor in the accident, but have not released further details.
